Canadian Food Expo 2025

The Canadian Food Expo, happening on 19th October 2025 at Market Square in Belleville, promises an exciting schedule designed to engage and inspire both food enthusiasts and professionals. Building on the success of last year's event, which attracted 2,000 guests, this year's expo is uniquely paired with a vibrant Diwali celebration, creating a rich cultural and culinary experience.

 

The day will kick off with a lively opening ceremony, featuring keynote speeches from renowned chefs and industry leaders. The event will culminate in a grand finale celebrating the fusion of culinary arts and cultural performance, offering sponsors excellent visibility and engagement opportunities as it is paired with Diwali Celebration.

Canadian Food Expo: 2024
Indian Street Food Festival

October 20 2024

On October 20, 2024, the Canadian Food Expo celebrated India’s vibrant culinary heritage through its Indian Food Expo, hosted in the City of Belleville with funding support from the City of Belleville. Centered on the theme of authentic Indian cuisine, the event featured local chefs and vendors showcasing Hyderabad-inspired delicacies like aromatic biryanis, spicy chaats, and decadent desserts such as double ka meetha. Attendees immersed themselves in the flavors and traditions of India, while the expo highlighted the contributions of immigrant entrepreneurs to Canada’s diverse food culture.

 

The City of Belleville’s support emphasized its dedication to fostering multiculturalism and community engagement through shared gastronomic experiences. By bridging cultural gaps and celebrating global traditions, the event underscored the unifying power of food, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.

 

Canadian Food Expo: 2024
Taste of Hyderabad

October 12 & 13, 2024

The Canadian Immigrant Food Expo, organized by Saffron Hub on October 12 and 13, 2024, celebrated the vibrant flavors of India’s culinary heritage with its theme, “Taste of Hyderabad.” Held in the Durham Region, the event drew over 1,200 attendees, including Hon. MP Ryan Turnbull, local mayors, and elected officials, who joined to honor Canada’s multicultural fabric. Showcasing Hyderabad’s iconic dishes—from fragrant biryanis to rich haleem and syrupy desserts—the expo transformed the region into a hub of South Asian culture. Local vendors and immigrant entrepreneurs highlighted the city’s gastronomic legacy while fostering cross-cultural connections. The strong turnout and dignitary participation underscored the event’s success in bridging communities and amplifying immigrant contributions to Canada’s diverse food landscape, reinforcing Saffron Hub’s mission to celebrate global traditions on Canadian soil.

By uniting entrepreneurs from diverse cultural backgrounds, the expo not only highlighted immigrant contributions to Canada’s food scene but also fostered community connections and economic opportunities. With enthusiastic turnout and engagement, the expo underscored the importance of initiatives like FedDev Ontario’s support in promoting inclusivity and cultural exchange, solidifying its role as a platform for celebrating Canada’s immigrant communities and their culinary legacies.

Join talented chefs and home cooks as they display their work virtually due to COVID-19. Following the lectures and demonstrations there will be a food exhibition promoting the artistic creativity of small businesses and food entrepreneurs. The goal of this event in such an unprecedented time is to ensure the promotion and economic revival of small businesses, food entrepreneurs and food joints while ensuring people across the GTHA have the opportunity to view the vendors from Brampton and the Celebrity Chef’s that are participating.

Whitby Artistic Food Expo 2021
